Another one bites the dust in terms of wide receiver targets the Pittsburgh Steelers could sign via free agency.
Veteran wideout Gabe Davis is returning to Buffalo and signing with the Bills, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Davis visited the Steelers twice this offseason, but left without a deal both times. He now returns to the Bills, where he spent the first four seasons of his career as the No. 2 receiver opposite Stefon Diggs. His biggest standout performance came in the infamous “13 seconds” game against the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2022 divisional round of the playoffs, where he caught four touchdowns.
The options continue to thin for the Steelers, who, for the second straight year, have failed to acquire a legitimate WR2 – at least for the time being.
