SAN DIEGO (KUSI)--On a warm Friday evening in August, Helix Charter High School quarterback Lee Norman-Lester took his reps ahead of the much-anticipated 2025 home opener against a unique visitor from Arizona, the Colts of Casteel High School.
The Highlanders looked to bounce back in front of their home crowd after a tough 31-21 loss at El Camino to open the season.
As for Norman-Lester, he was rebounding from something much bigger than football: Injury.
“I just need to take it one step at a time, you know?” Norman-Lester said. “I got to work in the present and work towards the future; I’m just looking forward to it.”
