As we all return to work and school after a long holiday weekend, we will be greeted by comfortable air before a cold front ushers in a cooler tone for the weekend.

Tuesday will stay mainly sunny into the evening with temperatures peaking in the upper 70s. After a seasonable afternoon, expect a clear sky after sunset with temperatures bottoming out to the low 50s on Wednesday morning.

Wednesday will be even warmer as afternoon high temperatures should return to the 80-degree mark for the first time since August 23rd. Clouds will build in overnight into Thursday morning, and a spotty shower or two can't be ruled out ahead of more widespread rain beginning after sunrise.
