SACO, Maine — Two Vermont residents have been arrested in connection with a string of car burglaries in Saco last week.

Lacey Norton, 30, and Kyle Fielden, 32, both of Burlington, Vermont, were taken into custody Aug. 29 after a Maine State Police trooper spotted their vehicle—an older Subaru Forester identified by investigators—during a patrol in western Maine, Saco police said in a press release.

The arrests follow multiple reports of motor vehicle burglaries on Aug. 26 and 27, two of which involved windows being smashed to gain entry, according to police.

Detectives investigating the burglaries obtained a photo of the suspects’ vehicle, which was shared with law enforcement agencies across the region.
