Green Bay Packers defensive end Micah Parsons wanted to stay with the Dallas Cowboys , his agent, David Mulugheta , claimed during an appearance on First Take Tuesday (September 2), days after the trade was completed.

"I think the most important thing is Micah wanted to be a Cowboy," Mulugheta said. "He grew up cheering for the Cowboys, wore the blue and white at Penn State, wore it in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys. He wanted to be a Cowboy, and we did everything we could for him to remain a Cowboy."

Mulugheta also claimed Parsons "never" intended to sit-out for the team's NFL Kickoff Game against the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles despite his open displeasure with his contract situation and trade request.
