GOVERNMENT CAMP Ore. (KPTV) - Timberline Lodge has two new furry faces greeting guests on Mount Hood.
The historic lodge announced the arrival of Heidi and Bruno, St. Bernard puppies born in July and Brought to the lodge in late August. The pair will begin keeping regular hours with visitors in the coming weeks.
Heidi, the 10th to carry the name at Timberline, will be stationed at the front desk. Her brother, Bruno the 12th, will work out of the Day Lodge Marketing Office. They’ll join the lodge’s senior St. Bernard, 8-year-old Bruno, who continues duties at the HR office, though on reduced hours.
St. Bernards have been part of the Timberline tradition since the lodge’s early days, when mascots Hansel and Gretel greeted guests. Since the 1950s, the lodge has always kept dogs named Heidi
