LINN COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) - A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital after being hit by a 17-year-old driver on Tuesday.
At approximately 7:55 a.m. Tuesday, authorities responded to a report of a two vehicle accident with injures at East Post Road and Lakeside Drive.
Police say a 17-year-old male driver lost control while turning from 30th Street Drive to Post Road and hit a motorcyclist who was stopped at a red light.
The 25-year-old motorcyclist had leg pain and was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities say the crash caused delays for northbound traffic on East Post Road until the scene was cleared and investigated.
The 17-year-old and his passenger were not injured. He received citations for his involvement in the accident.
