ANGELS CAMP, Calif. —

Officials ordered mandatory evacuations for parts of Calaveras County after a fire sparked Tuesday afternoon.

The Calaveras County Sheriff's Office said the evacuation zone includes Chalcedon School, Vallecito Bypass Road, Bowling Green, Juniper Drive, Ponderosa Way, Vallecito Bluffs Road and Six Mile Road.

When evacuation orders are issued, you are lawfully required to leave immediately due to threatening conditions.

There are also evacuation warnings south and east of where the orders were issued. You are not required to leave immediately under warnings but are recommended to do so in case conditions become dangerous.
