LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — A family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit after a man died constructing grandstands for the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix.
Tizoc Antonio died at 37 years old on Sept. 23, 2023. His mother is also listed in the lawsuit as his only living parent. The defendants include Evolution Power Tools LLC, Standard Steel Limited, Bellagio, MGM Resorts International, and more companies allegedly involved.
The lawsuit says grandstands were being built on the Fountains of Bellagio for the race starting Nov. 18 that year. On Feb. 2, 2023, the lawsuit says Bellagio and a company called Carma signed a contract to start construction of the grandstands.
