WOODSTOCK, Ga. — A Cherokee County Sheriff's deputy barged into a house without a warrant, looking to arrest the 21-year-old son of the homeowner, video reviewed by 11Alive shows.
Security video from a Woodstock home shows the homeowner, Natasha Lopez, and a Cherokee County Sheriff's Deputy at odds.
"I felt really violated and kind of like shocked. Like, wow, this is really happening to me," said Lopez.
Lopez says deputies pulled up to her house to arrest her 21-year-old son, Joseph Helms, over the weekend.
"What makes him any different than a burglar or someone who is out to harm me? To just run into my home because that's what he did. Even if he has a badge on, what he did was not legal, and if he's going to do that, what else is he going to do?" said Lopez.
