DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A deadly motorcycle vs. vehicle crash is under investigation in Wayne County, Indiana.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at the intersection of North U.S. 35 and Sycamore Street in Williamsburg on Monday, Sept. 1, at approximately 5 p.m.

The initial investigation found that a Ford F-550, pulling a flatbed trailer, was heading north, it was driven by a 71-year-old man from Economy, Indiana. A motorcycle driven by a 43-year-old man, and a 41-year-old passenger, Kelly Rick, both from Ottawa, Illinois, was behind it.

Officials said the motorcycle attempted to pass the Ford in a no-passing zone as the truck began turning west onto Sycamore Street. It crashed into the trailer.
