STILLWATER — Quality football players can be found anywhere if you look deep enough.
Oklahoma State dug into the NCAA Division II ranks to find playmakers on offense (Terrill Davis, UCO) and defense (Brandon Rawls, Saginaw Valley State).
Davis led the offense in receiving yards and Rawls was among the team leaders in tackles in the Cowboys’ 27-7 win over UT Martin in the season opener.
Rawls’ effort gained the attention of fellow linebacker Bryan McCoy Jr.
“Football players are football players,” McCoy said. “Brandon is one of the most mental, cerebral guys I've ever met. So when he was at that level, he must have been watching a lot of D-1 ball and saying ‘I can play with these guys’ because he can.
