LINN COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) - A 44-year-old woman from Albany was hit and killed by a car along Hwy 34 in Linn County on Sunday night, according to Oregon State Police.

OSP says officers responded to a report of a person hit by a car near milepost 10 on Hwy 34 at around 7:26 p.m. on Sunday.

Based on their initial findings, investigators determined Hollenia Ann Russell, 44, of Albany walked onto the highway and was hit by a Dodge Avenger headed westbound.

Russell reportedly died at the scene.

OSP also says the driver of the Avenger, 27-year-old Breanna Demae Fitch of Lebanon, had minor injuries as a result of the crash.
