MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) - The total cases of measles in Mesa County grew to seven over the weekend, the most confirmed cases in any county in Colorado.

According to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, two cases were secondary ones linked to previously announced exposure locations.

The other three cases were quarantined household contacts from one of the original cases. CDPHE stated there is no public risk regarding these cases.

Arapahoe County has the second most cases in the state with five, while Denver, El Paso and Adams all have four. Five people have been hospitalized for measles. No deaths have been reported.

Out of the 27 cases in Colorado, 20 of them are in people over the age of 18, according to CDPHE.
