AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) - John Ussery, assistant director of Augusta's Department of Traffic Engineering, is resigning for a new job opportunity that will be closer to family.

WJBF NewsChannel 6's George Eskola confirmed the announcement with Ussery on Tuesday, Sept. 2.

There is no word yet on who will replace Ussery in the position or when Ussery's last day on the job will be.
