GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — As we enter September , you may have started to see a couple trees already changing colors. And it feels like fall too, with highs over the next few days hardly hitting the mid-60s. Is fall here already?

You can give it a little more time before you watch When Harry Met Sally. After this cold front, summer-like temps will return, with Minnesota being back in the 70s and maybe even 80s next week.

As far as when the leaves reach peak fall colors, that depends on where you are in the state. For the Twin Cities, the average peak comes in early to mid-October.

If you're anxious to find fall, you can head to Kittson or Pennington County, where almost a quarter of the trees have already turned for the season.
