A Leeds hospice has been put in special measures following an inspection prompted by concerns around the quality of care
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspected the Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice in Headingley , Leeds , after concerns were raised around the quality of care being provided to people. Now, the health watchdog has rated the service inadequate - particularly in the areas of safe, effective and, well-led - and placed it in special measures.
The service was rated as requires improvement in the area of caring, and good in the area of responsive. Previously, the hospice was rated as good overall and in all five areas.
