WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A historic Wichita landmark has been vandalized, and community members say they’re heartbroken.
The pagoda, which stands in the heart of Riverside Park, is more than a century old.
"This, we think, might be one of the last ones left," Lynn Rogers, the chair of the Friends of the Kansas Wildlife Exhibit, said. • Vandalism at the Riverside pagoda on Sept. 2, 2025 (Courtesy: Zadi Owens) • Vandalism at the Riverside pagoda on Sept. 2, 2025 (Courtesy: Zadi Owens) • Vandalism at the Riverside pagoda on Sept. 2, 2025 (Courtesy: Zadi Owens) • Vandalism at the Riverside pagoda on Sept. 2, 2025 (Courtesy: Zadi Owens) • Vandalism at the Riverside pagoda on Sept. 2, 2025 (Courtesy: Zadi Owens) • Vandalism at the Riverside pagoda on Sept. 2, 2025 (Courtesy: Zadi Owe
