GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) - Citizens flocked to Gulfport City Hall to hear a review of the city’s proposed budget and voice their concerns.

The budget for the 2026 fiscal year must be adopted before September 30, and the council is aiming to have it ready for its next meeting on September 15.

After a brief explanation of the budget’s construction, those in attendance asked questions and were answered by Mayor Keating, members of the city council, or other city officials.

Mayor Keating says the public hearing was a success, and the council and administration have a lot to consider.
