LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - It’s been something that the state’s Medical Cannabis Commission has been looking to iron out since its inception.

The emergency regulations, that will eventually become permanent, for the growth and sale of medical marijuana.

On Tuesday, those regulations got one step closer to the finish line. Just hours before the Medical Cannabis Commission meeting, commissioners released the draft final regulations with some notable changes, leaving little time for the public to weigh in on them.

One concern that was raised previously; There only being one dispensary allowed per judicial district. That changed to allow more dispensaries. But even with the development, medical marijuana advocates said this process was not done right.
