SALISBURY — It’s peanut butter and jelly time, and the community’s help is being sought.

September is Hunger Action Month and Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina will be raising awareness and inspiring action in the 24 counties it serves as the food bank holds its premier Spread the Love Peanut Butter & Jelly food/fund drive.

Of the 24 counties that the food bank serves, 14 of those are in North Carolina and 10 are in South Carolina.

Rowan and surrounding counties including Cabarrus, Iredell and Stanley are served by the food bank.
