SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WMTV) - A new school year begins with even bigger concerns from Sun Prairie parents, who believe the district did not properly handle reported misconduct of a staff member last year.

Robert Gilkey-Meisegeier, the former Sun Prairie West Dean of Students was arrested in July and charged with possession of child pornography and child exploitation. Police confirmed students at Sun Prairie West were among his victims.

He was also indicted on federal charges.

Tuesday parents continued to fight for more action from the district, as they claim that the school knew about Gilkey-Meisegeier’s behavior but did not take action by contacting police.
