MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Madison Police Department is investigating two burglaries reported Tuesday morning on the city’s near east side.

Madison Gas and Electric reported the break-in to police just after 8:20 a.m. in the 100 block of South Fair Oaks Avenue, according to an incident report.

Police determined the suspects forced their way in through the fence, then allegedly broke into a construction trailer.

The suspects allegedly stole tools and equipment, MPD said.

The second burglary was reported by AT&T on the 100 block of W. Dixon Street.

MPD said officers found a fence was cut and equipment was stolen from inside the yard over the weekend.
