MARIPOSA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Evacuation orders are in place for Madera and Mariposa counties after a series of wildfires ignited Tuesday afternoon.

The 1-3 and 1-4 fires started between 5 and 6 p.m. and are currently burning in the southern portion of Mariposa County near Dutchman Creek Road and Preston and West Westfall roads.

As of 9:30 p.m., the 1-3 Fire was 250 acres large, and the 1-4 Fire was 2,000 acres large. Neither fire reported any containment.

Evacuation orders are in place for Preston Road and West Westfall Road to the Ben Hur intersection in Mariposa County. Evacuation orders are also in place for the following zones in Madera County: • MAD-E0647 (Raynor Creek) • MAD-E0533 (Eastman Lake) • MAD-E0651 (Eastman East) • MAD-E0783 (Road 29 and Road 603)
