MEMPHIS, Tenn. - In less than one hour, thieves broke into two KFC restaurants in Memphis, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).
MPD said the first burglary happened around 5:50 a.m. at a KFC on Union Avenue. When officers arrived, they saw a man in a black Honda Accord with temporary tags speeding away from the scene.
The store manager told police that the thieves stole a cash register with $60 inside.
MPD said the thieves broke the drive-thru window with a crowbar. They returned hours later to complete the burglary, according to police.
The second burglary happened around 6:30 a.m. at a KFC on Jackson Avenue. When FOX13 reached out to MPD about the burglary, officers were still processing the scene.
