WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Warner Robins City Council voted Monday to move forward with major parts of its downtown redevelopment plan, including a $500,000 property purchase, demolition approvals, and infrastructure upgrades in the Commercial Circle area .
City leaders approved the purchase of 1001 Young Avenue, a property slated for demolition to make room for new development. The site sits in the heart of the downtown district and is a central piece of what officials call “Operation Reawaken,” a long-term plan to revitalize Commercial Circle into a mixed-use, pedestrian-friendly destination.
