(McQueeney) — A 64-year-old man was killed Saturday night following a single-vehicle crash in Guadalupe County.

At approximately 10:23 p.m., deputies with the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office responded to the intersection of Terminal Loop Road and Raydon Lane for reports of a collision.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies located the driver, identified as John Henry Stephens. The 64-year-old was found unresponsive and not breathing inside a 2014 Dodge Ram pickup. Despite life saving measures, Stephens was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe Stephens had been traveling east on Terminal Loop Road when the crash occurred.

The accident remains under investigation by The Texas Department of Public Safety.
