CHARLOTTESVILLE — Brady Wilson, Virginia’s center, jokingly gave his quarterback a hard time once he realized Chandler Morris was OK.
“Like, ‘You’re 5-10 man. You need to slide, dude,’” Wilson said with a grin on Tuesday about what he told Morris.
Thankfully for the sake of Morris, Wilson and the Hoos, they were able to joke about and appreciate Morris’ competitiveness.
Because on Tuesday, UVa coach Tony Elliott said Morris has returned to practice and is expected to play this Saturday when the Cavaliers (1-0) travel to N.C. State (1-0).
“My expectation is for him to play his tail off,” Elliott said. “We’re going to need him and he was back in practice [on Monday] and full go, so my expectation is he has a great week of prep and he’s ready to go and brings his best game.”
