FAIRMONT, W.Va. — The judge in the murder trail of Pagan Motorcycle Club member Ryan Lane has declared a mistrial.
The jury heard nine days of testimony and began deliberations on Friday before the Labor Day holiday. The jury continued deliberations Tuesday for six hours and was unable to reach a verdict leading to the mistrial ruling.
Lane is the least of six Pagan Motorcycle Club members who were charged in the 2022 shooting death of Henry Silver in the Marion County community of Carolina. Silver was targeted after the club learned he was romantically involved with the girlfriend of member John Wole who has been convicted of first degree murder.
Lane was charged in 2024 after testimony during the Wolfe trial implicated him.
