J.B. Hunt to close

facility in Georgia

J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. has filed notice that it plans to close its facility at the Home Depot Distribution Center in Lithonia, Ga.

A Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification ACT notice filed on August 26 by the trucking company said the closure -- affecting 74 employees -- was made necessary because of "changing business conditions."

The facility is about 20 miles east of Atlanta and hosts a range of employees including drivers, managers, transportation managers, operations managers and dispatchers, according to the notice. It is scheduled to close on Oct. 27.
