Expect traffic delays as the Michigan Department of Transportation begins I-69 lane closures on Monday, Sept. 8, from Warren Road in Branch County north to A Drive North in Calhoun County.
MDOT will spend $350,000 to repair pavement and make drainage improvements on the interstate.
The daytime single lane closures will continue through Sept. 30.
Speed limits are reduced in the construction areas.
MDOT continues to rebuild the interchange and adjacent roads at Michigan Avenue, Exit 39 at Marshall, along this stretch of interstate.
MDOT's modernization project involves converting the interchange into a divergent diamond interchange to enhance traffic flow and safety, in preparation for the opening of Ford's Blue Oval Battery Park, located just west of the interchange.
