EL CENTRO — The California Highway Patrol's El Centro Area is saying goodbye to one of its longest-serving members, Officer H. Gonzalez, who is transferring after 23 years of dedicated service to the community.

Known affectionately by his colleagues as a “Road Dog,” a term of respect for a veteran road officer, Gonzalez has been a fixture on the highways of Imperial County for more than two decades. His long career in El Centro is marked by his unwavering commitment and tireless work ethic.

According to a statement from the CHP El Centro Area, Officer Gonzalez's contributions went beyond his professional duties. He will be remembered not only for his dedication but also for his sense of humor and the camaraderie he fostered among his fellow officers.
