BRAWLEY — Starting Tuesday, September 2, community members, including students and staff of SDSU Imperial Valley, can now request a direct ride to the Brawley campus through the Imperial County Transportation Commission (ICTC)'s IVT Ride Now Service.

In a statement, SDSU said the new service is part of an effort to provide more accessible transportation options to the university's recently opened Sciences and Engineering Laboratories in Brawley. For the grand opening of the new route, rides will be completely free from September 2 through September 7.

Beginning the following week, on September 8, the one-way fare will be $2. The service will operate from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, SDSU said.
