WENDELL, N.C. (WNCN) – An overnight shooting at a mobile home community in Wake County sent a man to the hospital on Wednesday, deputies said.

According to the Wake County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded around 1 a.m. to a report of a shooting on the 5600 block of Privette Road in Wendell.

When deputies arrived on scene, the sheriff's office said they found a man who had been shot. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, but his injuries are not considered life-threatening, deputies said.
