RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A home overlooking the 18th green at North Ridge Country Club that once housed two people convicted in a murder-for-hire-plot has sold.

The near 17,000-square foot mansion with an assessed total value of $7.8 million sold for $4.4 million in late July, according to Wake County deed records.

A storied past

The home was raided by the feds in December 2018, which led to federal charges and prison time for Leonid Teyf and his wife, Tatiana Teyf. They were 59 and 43 at the time, respectively.

As part of a plea agreement, the Teyfs had to forfeit the house in 2021.

The mega house which was offered in a $10 million auction in 2024 was pulled off the site at the last moment despite nearly a dozen seriously interested bidders. • Photo courtesy: Platinum Luxury Auctions
