The Liberation for Economic Freedom Party (LEFP) has lost one of its key members, Abraham Ellis Nyondo, who was running as a councillor for Chirunga Ward in Zomba Central North Constituency in the upcoming September 16 elections.

Nyondo, who was also the party’s Chief Campaign Officer, passed away last night at Zomba General Hospital after a short illness. His death was confirmed by LEFP president Prophet David Mbewe.

Mbewe described Nyondo’s passing as a major blow to the party, saying he was a dedicated and valued member.

Nyondo was one of seven candidates contesting for the Chirunga Ward seat.
