The transfer window is closed but the drama may not be over at Leicester City with a number of countries’ markets still open.

City can no longer sign players unless they are free agents but they can still sell and it has been suggested Wout Faes may continue to seek an exit despite failing to get a deadline-day move.

Faes has been left out of the Belgium squad for the first time in nearly three years amid City’s fall into the Championship and his lack of starts this season, the centre-back coming on as a substitute in all four of the club’s league matches under Marti Cifuentes.
