Once again I write regarding the development in and around Park City, this time as it specifically applies to the 5-acre Bonanza parcel. I feel like I am fighting for the soul of our city — is anyone else?

I have learned that city leaders and their development partner made it clear at a recent special council meeting that there will be no specific nonprofits guaranteed a space in the Bonanza parcel.

This could mean that a space for the Arts Council’s CREATE PC Local Artists Collective would not be afforded a much needed permanent home. Why is it important? Because if the goal is to develop a community focused, vibrant area that reflects local values, then not creating space for the local nonprofits, especially the arts, would be a huge mistake.
