LEWISVILLE—Lewisville ISD counterparts The Colony and Lewisville High School spent Tuesday evening battling in non-district play. The Colony was able to score more points throughout the contest, but it was Lewisville’s Lady Fighting Farmers who found their way to the 3-1 (25-22, 14-25, 25-21, 25-22) win on their home court.
After an emphatic second set from The Colony (4-15) that included 11 points unanswered, the teams entered the third frame tied at one set apiece. They traded points until Lewisville (8-16) junior Titilayo Oladipupo had a timely block and then finished the assist from senior setter Maddi Fennell to take a 5-3 lead.
