A woman was killed and several others were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Van Nuys early Wednesday.

The collision was reported at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday at Van Nuys and Burbank boulevards, a Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman told City News Service.

Arriving officers learned one vehicle was traveling eastbound on Burbank Boulevard when its struck the driver’s side of the second vehicle heading north on Van Nuys Boulevard in front of a Ralphs parking lot, police said.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. According to NBC 4, one of the cars ran a red light prior to the collision.

NBC 4 reported at least three people were taken to hospitals with unknown injuries.

It was not immediately known if any arrests were made.
