Deputies executed a search warrant Thursday in an unincorporated area of Lake Elsinore stemming from complaints of possible illegal marijuana cultivation.

Deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station Special Enforcement Team received a complaint Wednesday, and on Thursday they searched a home on the 33000 block of Westlong Street, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators seized approximately 815 marijuana plants in various growth stages. Southern California Edison officials also arrived at the location to disconnect power to an illegally altered electrical system in the residence, sheriff’s officials said.

The residence was vacant at the time of the investigation.
