DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Duluth Fire Department confirmed that crews responded to a call relating to a potential hazmat issue on Wednesday.

The Suites Hotel in Canal Park was evacuated at approximately 10 a.m.

Northern News Now spoke to an employee in Canal Park who confirmed that Old Chicago and Red Lobster also evacuated their buildings.

There is a large presence outside the buildings. Multiple crews are on scene, including the Duluth Fire Department and Duluth Police.

Police have also blocked off South Lake Avenue from traffic.
