SUPERIOR, Wis. (Northern News Now) - A Michigan man was seriously injured in a weekend stabbing in Superior.
The incident happened Saturday night, but Superior Police are just releasing information now.
According to Superior PD, officers responded to the area of Oakes Avenue and North 16th Street around 9:15 p.m. Saturday on reports of a stabbing.
There they found a 38-year-old Michigan man who suffered multiple stab wounds.
He was rushed to a Duluth hospital.
Police say his injuries are serious but non-life threatening.
The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Dana Wood of Superior, is behind bars.
Superior Police Chief Paul Winterscheidt tells Northern News Now a chisel was recovered from the scene and was likely used in the stabbing.
Wood is charged with Second Degree Reckless Inj
