While Kawhi Leonard may be enjoying his summer touring the world and playing basketball with robots in China, a new bombshell has dropped. Reports implicate Leonard receiving a cool $28 million ‘no-show’ endorsement deal with a company embroiled in fraudulent actions.
What’s even more surprising is that the Clippers’ ever-present owner, Steve Ballmer, has allegedly funded the controversial Los Angeles-based company Aspiration, Inc., with a staggering $50 million.
“NBA executives were suspicious of Steve Ballmer’s Clippers landed one of the most valuable free agents on the market, Kawhi Leonard. The NBA did not find that Ballmer got Kawhi by sweetening their offer,” according to popular journalist Pablo Torre on X.
