More buses and timetables integrated with trains and other public transport will be two of the big benefits of bringing the fleet back under public control. That was the message from the region’s mayor Richard Parker who was speaking at an event at Coventry Transport Museum yesterday (Tuesday).

A fleet of buses were on show outside the museum as part of the event to launch Catch the Bus Month by campaign group Bus Users UK when the mayor explained that franchising would lead to the biggest shake-up across the area for decades.
