WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Wichita police arrested a 23-year-old man after a deadly shooting outside a liquor store on North Broadway Monday, one of three shootings in the city on Labor Day.

Investigators say an argument outside the store quickly escalated when the 23-year-old shot 19-year-old Mario Gonzalez. Police found both Gonzalez, the 23-year-old and a 46-year-old man with gunshot wounds. The suspect and a 46-year-old man were taken to the hospital.

A retired Wichita police lieutenant witnessed a vehicle speeding away from the scene and followed it. Officers stopped the car near the 800 block of North Main. Inside was a 17-year-old boy, described as an associate of Gonzalez, with a gunshot wound to the hand. He was taken to the hospital for his injury.
