The Alberta based airline now has the largest order book of any airline in the country

Alberta-based WestJet now has more aircraft coming down the pipeline than any other airline in Canada, after making the largest order from manufacturer Boeing in Canadian history.

The order includes 60 of the 737-10 MAX jets, along with seven 787-9 Dreamliner.

The purchase is set to be fulfilled through 2034, and includes options to increase the order on either aircraft.

WestJet’s says their current order sheet totals to 123 aircraft, with 40 additional options.

“With the addition of these aircraft, WestJet has the largest order book of any airline in Canada,” said WestJet CEO, Alexis von Hoensbroech.
