PHOENIX — A man was recently sentenced to prison for breaking into a 67-year-old woman's Phoenix home last year and sexually assaulting her.
Jeremy Naltazan, 35, was sentenced this week in Maricopa County Superior Court to 13 years in prison after the defendant pleaded guilty to sexual assault and attempted sexual assault, according to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.
On Dec. 16, 2024, a woman living near 32nd Street and Thomas Road reported hearing someone knock on her door at about 10 p.m. A man asked to use her phone. She declined the request and called the police.
The man then forced his way into the home and grabbed the woman. Prosecutors said the attacker held her down and sexually assaulted her.
