SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) -- Springfield Police started off the month with the arrests of six people who were allegedly involved in drug dealing at a Lowell Street home.

A months-long investigation led police to Monday morning’s search of the home, during which there were two small children inside the home. Police seized a loaded gun, large amounts of cocaine and fentanyl, and over $8,000 in cash.

The investigation also led to the arrests of four Springfield residents and a man from West Hartford, CT, as well as a 16-year-old boy who’s information can’t be released due to his age. However, we know the five other suspects who were arrested are facing a number of gun and drug charges.
