Starting this month, Savannah families will see two of the city’s most popular parks get major playground upgrades.

What’s new at Daffin Park:

Construction kicks off in mid-September on the Daffin Park Signature Playground, one of the largest single investments under the city’s Recreation Re-Imagined initiative.

The playground, designed for kids ages 2–12, will be fully ADA accessible and feature seven themed play zones. Think: water play, climbing towers, swings, slides, and even a new splashpad and restrooms.

Construction is expected to take about four months.

What’s changing at Forsyth Park:

Crews are replacing the worn-down playground surface starting the first week of September.

The old rubber and wood fiber surfaces no longer meet safety standards, so they’ll be upgraded with
